Good Morning, Pirates! Today is Wednesday, March 20th, 2024 and these are your daily announcements from the Leadership team.
On today’s menu, there will be: Chicken Parmesan and Pasta, Spicy Chicken Tenders with Potato Wedges, Bahn-Mi Sandwiches, Teriyaki Chicken with Rice, Buffalo Chicken Pizza and Tomato soup with half a sandwich.
Remember, breakfast, lunch and supper is served daily and free for all students.
Pirates, this year’s prom theme is Enchanted Garden! Prom is Saturday, May 11th, at the Galleria in San Francisco from 8-12. Tickets will go on sale next week starting at $135 dollars.
All Seniors and Juniors interested in fundraising to pay for your prom ticket stop by room 215 and get the information packet and forms. This year you will be selling Popcornopolis and Sensational Sweets. You can fundraise for prom, and yearbook. Sophomores and Freshmen can sell as well to pay for your yearbook. Please stop by during lunch
Attention Pirate, here are the results so far for the attendance competition by classes: We have the seniors in first place with 94.11% attendance, followed by the Juniors with 93.50% with the Sophomores right behind the juniors with 93.48% and the Freshmen at 93.41%. The Academy for Business and Finance presents Anchor Drop. This is the last call for any Class, Club, Sports Team, or Academy to have a booth, organize a game or event, or perform in this annual event. If interested please contact Mr. Ocon. The State Seal of Biliteracy is a gold seal on the diploma that recognizes graduates who demonstrate a high level of proficiency in languages in addition to English.
Students who are fluent in Vietnamese and want to earn their Seal of Biliteracy please come see Ms. Albright in room 112 to learn more. You must sign up by March 29th.
K-Pop Club is hosting a bake sale for Stray Kids’ anniversary after school on Monday, March 25th. Chocolate cupcakes will be for $3 and Rice Krispie Treats for $2. Show your love for Stray Kids or pick up a sweet after-school treat!

Come to the ELD and World Languages Talent Showcase TOMORROW at 6:30 pm! Enjoy an hour of singing, dancing, and poetry representing nearly a dozen different languages and cultures!
Seniors and juniors please check your school email as Madison Elementary School is looking for Outdoor Science Camp counselors for their 5th graders. The camp is being held in Felton, near Santa Cruz from May 21st to May 24th.You must have a 3.0 GPA. If you have any questions please stop by room 215 before school or during lunch.
Hey seniors! We are two weeks away from the April 2nd, priority deadline for financial aid. Please stop by the CCC if you need any application support with FAFSA or CADAA!
Interested in attending community college after high school? Or, interested in taking a concurrent enrollment class at a community college this summer? Varsity Boys Tennis will be playing away against Alameda High at 3:30PM.
Boys Golf will be competing against Arroyo High at the Monarch Bay Golf Course at 3:30.
Softball will be playing Bishop O’Dowd at 4:00. Varsity plays at Bishop O’Dowd, JV plays at Burrell Field.
JV Baseball will be playing El Cerrito High at 4:00.
Badminton plays against Encinal High at SLHS at 4:00.
Boys Volleyball plays against Encinal High in the FTK Gym. JV plays at 4:30 and Varsity plays at 5:30.
