“An experience that has shaped who I am today would definitely be losing a volleyball game in Colorado. It was a national qualifier game, and we were in the top three, and it was the last game until we could make it to earn a national title and a national bid. We lost by two points because I missed my serve and I feel like the pure pressure that went on definitely changed how I saw the game and how I am as an athlete today because I now take into account all my losses and my victories, but losses count more because I realize how to fix my losses in tournament wins. I felt sad that my team put that trust in me and obviously I had the jersey on. I was on the court and my coaches put that trust in me throughout the season and the fact that I wasn’t able to pull through after so many practices and hours on the court, it was a let down, but it definitely taught me a lot later on.”
