Come join SJA to celebrate Latiné Heritage Month on Friday, September 26th in the quad during lunch! This is a time to recognize and honor the culture, history and contributions of Latinx communities. You’ll see celebrations through music, food, art and more.
Pirates, get ready to celebrate Latiné Heritage Month with us! The Social Justice Academy is hosting an exciting Spirit Week from Monday, September 22 to Friday, September 26, and we want everyone to join in!
Here’s what’s happening each day:
Monday – Rep Your Roots: Wear your country’s flag colors to show pride in your heritage.
Tuesday – Jersey Day: Rock your favorite jersey to represent your country or team.
Wednesday – Viva La Unidad: Wear black to show solidarity with the Latiné community.
Thursday – Vaqueros vs. Fresitas: Dress up as a Vaquero (honoring cowboy roots) or Fresita (showing your stylish side) to celebrate our community pride.
Friday – Raíces y Tradiciones: Wear traditional cultural clothing to honor and represent your heritage.
And don’t miss the big lunchtime celebration on Friday, September 26 in the Quad, we’ll have games, live performances, face painting, and more!
