PIRATEEESS next week is homecoming spirit week! Here are the days to look out for.
Monday- Airport Lounge Day, wear your comfy clothes and bring anything but a backpack.
Tuesday- Meme Day, dress as your favorite meme.
Wednesday- Tack Tourist, embrace your inner tourist and wear your crazy wacky clothes.
Thursday- SubwaySurfer, show out wearing your street wear.
Friday- Rally day! Represent your class by wearing your class colors and or class theme!
Don’t forget to get your class point in the quad during lunch! The class with the most point will receive a prize which is still being decided! We can’t wait to see your outfits!
Starting October 1st students must have a parking permit to park in the south lot parking lot. Parking permit applications can be picked up at the student bank and proof of insurance and registration are required. For students who have already submitted the form please stop by the student bank to pick up the pass.
Hey Pirates Homecoming tickets are now for sale in the school bank! Tickets are $20 presale and $25 at the door so make sure as soon as you can!
HEY Pinoy pirates! FASA is having our FIRST general meeting on Wednesday October, 1st in room M1 during lunch! Come by to eat some yummy lumpia made by our lovely pub Sophie and learn about our upcoming events for the year!!
College and Career Announcements
Seniors! The College and Career Center is hosting a CSU Application Overview Presentation on Thursday, October 2nd at LUNCH and AFTERSCHOOL in the CCC. Stop by the College and Career Center to learn more!
Southern Alameda College and Career Night is happening on Monday, October 6th from 5-7pm in the Main Gym. This is a perfect opportunity for students & families to gain exposure to post-high school opportunities. At this event, you’ll connect directly with representatives from: Community colleges, Four-year colleges & universities, Career industries & trades and Scholarship programs. Hope to see you there!
Club and Academy Announcements
This week is the start of Intimate Partner Violence Awareness Month, and the Social Justice Academy invites everyone to take action, learn how to build safe, respectful relationships, and to stand in solidarity with victims and survivors.
Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) is when someone uses hurtful or controlling behaviors like physical harm, threats, insults, or control against the person they’re dating or in a relationship with. IPV includes both dating and domestic violence, and sadly, 1 in 3 teens in the U.S. experiences dating abuse.
Each day at lunch in the Quad, join us to pick up purple ribbons, bracelets, stickers, and take part in activities to show support for survivors and victims and make a commitment to ending violence. On Friday, don’t miss the big lunchtime event in the Quad, it is a time to come together, learn, and heal as a community.
Black Student Union is holding elections Today at lunch in room 216. Meet the candidates and vote.
Looking for something fun to do with friends? Come to the UNICEF’s Annual Tie Dye Fundraiser, THIS Thursday, October 2nd. From 4-5:45 PM, at the tables outside the cafeteria. Held every year for students and the XC team for their Fun Run. $7 per shirt, all materials provided, bring your friends!
Anyone interested in playing boys soccer. There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday 10/1 after school on the bleachers. Please come meet the coaches and find out this season and tryouts.

Last but not least we want everyone to wear purple to not only raise awareness but show solidarity to those who are or have experienced intimate partner violence. Not only do we want everyone to wear purple but PLEASE SCHOLARS!! Donate menstrual products everyday this week! join us for our event in the quad Friday to play trivia and win brownies and $50 gift cards, yes I said that correctly, $50 gift cards!! Thank you!
