As students go to the football games and expect the football team to go on a losing streak from past rough years, San Leandro Football comes back to a 3-0 streak as the last time this has happened was in 2005.
The effort that the football team puts in and the blood and sweat that comes from these games, and the amount of time that is put into trying to get better others should come out and support these events that bring the school spirit that also builds a larger community with each other that help us become a tighter community.
As we get into the school year where the football season goes underway we find out that varsity football becomes 3-0. The last time this has ever happened for the football program at San Leandro High was 20 years ago. Varsity football should be proud of their win streak but should expect other teams to try and break their streak and have to be cautious and work harder to keep the streak going.
“I think that it’s very accomplished and also very surprising, and I’m also very proud of Varsity coming from a JV player. I would have hoped for the JV to also be the same,” Said JV lineman Anthony Afusia, 10
They’re able to train hard with the new equipment and support from the scholars of San Leandro High. With these advantages it also helps bring an advantage compared to other teams that don’t have this type of support that varsity has.
“I think that varsity has to put in more effort as stronger and harder teams come later in the season and to not let their guard down” Said Afusia
