It is a great time to enjoy some physical activity together and remember former SLHS teacher Eddie Nava for all that he contributed to our school and community as a student and a teacher.

On Wednesday and Thursday, October 22nd and 23rd, the Business Academy Sophomores will be holding their annual Autumn Fest Selling event, during lunch, in the Quad. Items for sale will include jewelry, Labubus, character keychains, Sonny Angels, accessories, Smiskis and sunglasses. Join the Business Academy for great deals on exclusive items.
HEYY Pirates.MENACA (mai-na-ka) will be hosting their second general meeting in Ms. Rose’s room (F353) at lunch.
We would like to take this time to talk about an issue deeply affecting our community: police brutality. This ongoing problem continues to harm our communities, and that’s why we’re inviting everyone to join us on National Police Brutality Protest Day, October 22nd, at 6 PM in front of San Leandro City Hall, to stand together against police violence and demand justice for Steven Taylor—a man who was shot and killed within 40 seconds of police arriving, when he should have received help instead.
If you’d like to join us in the fight for justice, please scan the QR code on the posters around school so we can get a head count of attendees.
This will be a peaceful protest, and we encourage you to bring your family and friends.
Thank you so much—we hope to see you there!
