On February 28, 2024, Ms. Maite Barloga sent out a message on StudentSquare announcing her role as San Leandro High’s new permanent principal. She said that she is “absolutely thrilled and deeply honored” to take up this role, and is eager to continue to lead our school to success in the future.
Ms. Barloga thanks everyone for their trust in her, and applauds the unwavering resilience of the student body throughout this entire ordeal.
She said she looks forward to building deeper relationships with the San Leandro High community, and above all wants to empower students to take the steps toward a gratifying life as adults.
“My foremost goal is to empower [students] to explore every possibility, uncover their passions, and forge their own paths toward fulfilling and enriching adult lives,” said Ms. Barloga.
