On November 20th, the boys soccer team started their season away off with a 4-1 win against Oakland High. Ever since then, they have an overall record of 2-1 for the season just coming off a 1-2 loss against Tennyson High at Tennyson on December 10th.
The Pirates have a strong squad this year looking to bounce back after a rough season last year.
Senior Damian Padilla, varsity defender, said the team needs support at games so far and the only home game had almost no fans in the stands.
“We want to have a winning season and with help from the stands it’ll motivate us to do so,” said Padilla.
The next game will take place on December 12th against the Encinal Jets at Burrell Field. This is a good opportunity for everyone to come out and watch the game as the Pirates are looking to start up a winning streak.
“Come out and you won’t regret it”, says defender senior Javier Cano. These boys are only looking for success this season.
