Thursday is Disney on ice.
Friday, Ski Day- dress for winters cold weather.

Support the SLHS marching band with our Mexican hot chocolate and concha’s fundraiser THIS Wednesday after school in front of the AEC. Hot chocolate will be $4 and concha’s will be $3. Come support us and stay warm!
Homework Lab is Open! Wednesday and Thursday from 3:15-4:30pm the Library is open for all! Make up a test, get homework help from teachers, use the computer lab or just have a quiet space to work. We are here for you! Make sure you stop by the Cafeteria for supper first! See you in the Library!
Come join the SLHS Wind ensemble for our concert this Wednesday at 7PM in the AEC! Come enjoy themes from songs like The Incredibles and Avatar. We will have concessions and tickets are $1 with a Student ID. Come out and support!
College and Career Announcements
SENIORS! If you have applied or plan to apply to a UC, CSU, Community College, HBCU, Private School, or an Out-of-State University, fill out the survey that you have received in your email. We also wanna know if you have completed your financial aid applications. Ms. Sierra and Ms. Torey need your input!
Club and Academy Announcements
SJA’s 17th annual One Love One Mic is on Thursday, December 11th, in the AEC. Doors open at 4:30pm. Presale tickets are $5, they are going fast, it will be $10 at the door. It is a night of self expression and edutainment. To purchase tickets, go to tinyurl.com/SJAolom25.
The Social Justice Academy and Justice 4 Steven Taylor are hosting their 4th annual Winter Coat and Sock Drive. They will be collecting donations of new or lightly used jackets or sweaters or brand-new socks in rooms 222, 231, 215, and participating teachers’ classrooms, until Monday, December 15th. All donations will go to the organization April Showers and will be distributed at the Boys and Girls Club on December 21st, to community members who are unhoused during these cold winter months.
The Giving Tree is here. Please help Davis Street during the holidays. Please bring in $1 to help with their toy drive. Each teacher & administrator has an envelope to collect ANY proceeds. If all of us donate, many will have a Merry Holiday. Remember, a little goes a long way!
The Business Academy and Finance has partnered with the North Pole and will have their representative “Jolly Old Saint Nick” on campus this week, stop on by to take a picture with them during lunch.
Octagon will be selling Brookies afterschool in front of the AEC, Monday, December 15th, from 3:00-4:30. Brookies will be $3 for one and $5 for two.
UNICEF is selling Cake-Pops, this Friday, December 12th. After school in front of the AEC. $2 for 1, $3 for 2. Come by to have a sweet treat to kick off your weekend!
UNICEF is having their 6th General meeting, this Wednesday, December 10th. During Lunch in Smart’s room 214. Come by to hear about upcoming events, fundraisers and trivia questions for candy! See you there!
