Homework Lab is Open! Wednesday and Thursday from 3:15-4:30pm the Library is open for all! Make up a test, get homework help from teachers, use the computer lab or just have a quiet space to work. We are here for you! Make sure you stop by the Cafeteria for supper first! See you in the Library!
PIRATES! Are you interested in running for ASB, Class Officer or being in the general Leadership class? Application packets will be available in Ms. King’s Room 215 starting TODAY, February 2nd to February 6th. Come stop by and pick up a packet if you’d like to join!
Sophomores and Juniors! Are you interested in taking a poetry class? If so, then sign up for the elective, The American Poet’s Experience. You will learn about American poets and compose your own poems and songs. The world needs poets. The world needs your poems. Reclaim the pen to your narrative and tell your stories.
College and Career Announcements
Attention seniors: We’re hosting a Chabot College Day on Monday, February 2. Chabot College will be on campus for a SOAR presentation during 4th period and a Chabot application workshop during 5th period. SOAR is an important step for students planning to attend Chabot, as it provides an early registration opportunity and helps prepare students for a smooth transition to college. Sign-up is required, and passes will be provided based on your selection. Please scan the QR code on campus flyers to sign up or come to the College and Career Center.
Attention seniors: The College & Career Center is hosting Financial Aid Workshops every Wednesday and Thursday starting February 4th this month to support students with FAFSA and CADAA. Workshops are available during Wednesdays: 3rd and 5th periods and Thursdays: 2nd and 4th periods. Sign-up is required for workshops, and passes will be provided based on your selected period. Please visit the College & Career Center to sign up or check campus flyers for more information.
Important reminder: If you do not plan to complete a financial aid application, you are still required to submit a Financial Aid Opt-Out Form, which can be picked up and completed at the College & Career Center.
Club and Academy Announcements
Our Band program Mid-Year Concerts are happening soon! Come join us on Tuesday, February 3rd, at 6:30 PM or our Jazz Band and Wednesday, February 4th at 6:30 PM for our Wind Ensemble. Congratulations to Our Mock Trial’s Prosecution Team’s win. Led by team attorneys Kairi Keomanyvong, Aidan Flamenco and Randolph St. James. Our witnesses Maria Aburirbaleh, Nicole Lukashevskiy, Zoey La and Elizabeth Rogatkin and our Court room manager and Clerk of the Court Ada Vuong. They competed at Alameda Superior Court in front of a California superior court judge.
ASA’s 6th General Meeting will be held Tuesday, February 3rd, during lunch in RM 241.
