As always pirates, make sure to show your spirit! Don’t forget to collect points in the Quad for your grade, we can’t wait to see your outfits!
Homework Lab is open today! Teachers are available from 2:45-4:00pm. Don’t forget Progress Reports are due on Friday! Come get extra help on your missing assignments!! Make up a test, get homework help from teachers, use the computer lab, or just have a quiet space to work. We are here for you! Make sure you stop by the Cafeteria for supper first! See you in the Library!
Course Requests are Live! Do you need help picking classes for next year? Make an appointment to see your Counselor! Scan the QR code on the Counseling door, or send an email. You can also walk-in at lunchtime!
PIRATESSSSSSSS! Get excited, because the SLHS Olympics are back! The Olympics is a week-long event where students and staff make teams and compete in fun, competitive games during lunch. Info packets will be released AFTER break on February 23rd and can be picked up in Ms. King’s room, 215. Make sure to stay tuned for an informational meeting coming soon!
Sophomores and juniors! Are you interested in taking a poetry class? If so, then sign up for the elective, The American Poet’s Experience. You will learn about American poets and compose your own poems and songs. The world needs poets. The world needs your poems. Reclaim the pen to your narrative and tell your stories.
Club and Academy Announcements
Celebrate the Lunar New Year with SLHS! ASA is hosting this year’s Lunar New Year party to celebrate the year of the Horse. The party will be today, Thursday February 12th, in the Main Cafeteria at 5-7pm! Entry fee is $5. Everyone is welcome! Come have food, games, karaoke and arts and crafts. See you there!
The Library advisory board bake sale will be having a bake sale on Thursday February 12 after school in front of the AEC. We will be selling chocolate covered strawberries, and sweet treats! So make sure to stop by and get some!

Come support Project: Art for All’s tiramisu fundraiser this Friday after school in front of the AEC! It will be $4 for 1, hope to see you there!
