9th, 10th AND 11th GRADERS! This week is Election Week! Check your emails for the link to the google form. Make sure to look around the school for who’s running and who you want to represent YOU! The voting period is open NOW and will run until this Friday.
Homework Lab is open today! Teachers are available from 2:45-4:00pm. Don’t forget Progress Reports are due on Friday ! Come get extra help on your missing assignments!! Make up a test, get homework help from teachers, use the computer lab, or just have a quiet space to work. We are here for you! Make sure you stop by the Cafeteria for supper first! See you in the Library!
PIRATESSSSSSSS! Get excited, because the SLHS Olympics are back! The Olympics is a week-long event where students and staff make teams and compete in fun, competitive games during lunch. SLHS Olympic packets are now available in room 215! Pick up your packets and begin creating your teams! Packets are due March 13th and games will occur March 24-27th. Additionally, a general Olympics informational meeting will be held in room 215 today!
Sophomores and juniors! Are you interested in taking a poetry class? If so, then sign up for the elective, The American Poet’s Experience. You will learn about American poets and compose your own poems and songs. The world needs poets. The world needs your poems. Reclaim the pen to your narrative and tell your stories.
Pirates, have you noticed the Share Table posters in the lunchroom? If you have unopened items or whole fruit from school breakfast, lunch or supper that you don’t want, please leave them on the Share Table for another student to enjoy! It’s a great way to reduce food waste and support our Pirate community.

Please join us in honoring the 2025 Varsity Softball team on Friday February 27, 2026 @ Burrell Field at 6:45pm. A group of athletes that raised the standard and left it all on the field. League Champs, NCS Finalists and State Finalists. Countless records broken, milestones reached, history written because of this team. We’re coming together as a community to celebrate last year’s unforgettable run. Don’t miss out!! See you there!!
