The SLHS library is hosting its Spring Smash Bros Tournament on May 7 & 8 at lunch. This is a team vs. team battle, so find your Player 2 and come on down to the library to sign up. May the best team win!
Emails have gone out to all students with missing or overdue books that need to be returned to the library ASAP. Check your student email for a list of items to return. Stop by the library anytime during our hours Mon-Fri 8:10-3:40 to return books and ask questions about your account. Your SLHS Pirate Library thanks you!
Seniors!! As you prepare for graduation and your final weeks on campus, we have one important housekeeping item to check off your list. Please remember that all take-home Chromebooks and chargers must be returned to the Main Office before the end of May. To ensure a smooth checkout process, we recommend dropping yours off as soon as you no longer need it for your final assignments. Congratulations on reaching this milestone—we are so proud of you!
Mr. Alvarado’s Graphic Design class welcomes everyone to an exhibit at San Leandro’s Main Public Library. We will be exhibiting 40 Health Poster Projects made by our extremely talented students. The opening reception is on May 12th, 6:00 to 7:00 PM. Please tell your friends and families and come out to support our awesome students.
Food prices are rising due to inflation. To keep our cafeteria sustainable, please be mindful of your portions. If you have any unopened whole-food items, please place them in the shared baskets or leave them on a cafeteria table for others. Let’s work together to stop food waste!
College and Career Announcements
Seniors! If you have RSVP’d to destination day, make sure to pick up your wristbands and raffle tickets today. You can pick up all day, today, May 5th, or tomorrow, May 6th, before 12 PM! If you have not RSVP’d make sure to check your email or look for a flyer to sign up to attend asap. Remember, destination day is MAY 7th on the San Leandro field, and starts at lunch.
Seniors! If you missed the chance to RSVP for destination day, you can still attend! During lunch today, head over to the field and you can sign up on the day of! Make sure to complete a form at the entrance of the event, get your wristband, and have fun!
Club and Academy Announcements
SLHS’s Library Advisory Board is hosting the Library’s annual end of the year Pancake Social event, at the SLHS Library after school on Friday, May 15th! We will be selling pancakes with toppings and we’ll have different games & activities! Keep on the look-out for more information coming soon!!!
On Friday, May 8th at 5:45 in the AEC, The K-pop club will be dancing to 11 different kpop songs. Tickets prices: $2.
Attention Seniors, The Journalism class is creating a Senior feature Magazine which will represent senior pirates in many different ways. We wish to include a picture of all senior athletes together. In this picture, we would capture you along with many other seniors in your sports gear. Save the date for Wednesday, May 13th, during the third period. Contact your coaches about getting your jerseys the day of.
