Student Run Business

A new clothing business at San Leandro emerged a few months ago. It goes by the name of EurO. It is run by two high school seniors Dalveer Grewal and Alvaro Rodriguez. The E stands for entrepreneurial and the O stands for opportunity. Their slogan is “Opportunity Chasers.”

Grewal and Rodriguez started the clothing business because they are both really into clothing and fashion. “I’ve always wanted to wear my own clothing, I’ve never really liked buying other people’s clothes,” says Rodriguez. It is a big market in which entrepreneurs should take advantage of because consumers want clothes that reflect their emotions.

The business is booming; their last order sold out in less than one day. They spread the knowledge of their product on social media such as Instagram and Snapchat.

Currently in their product line are hoodies and t-shirts. They have four colors: black, white, red, beige and maroon. On the front it says EURO “California,” and on the sleeves it says 2018 in roman numerals (MMXVIII). The long sleeves sell for $27 and short sleeves for $20. They will be releasing a special edition of graduating class of 2018 shirts most likely in the third week of May. In the future, their plans are to add different pieces of clothing such as sweatpants, joggers, and jeans.

Running the business isn’t as time consuming as one might think. “It’s not a nine to five job. We try to make a big impact on weekends and spend a couple a hours a night on weekdays. If I get I get tired of doing the homework I switch back and forth between the business and homework,” says Grewal.

Grewal and Rodriguez plan to continue the business through college and beyond. They want to start with local stores.Their ambitions range for it to eventually expand and blow up into a major brand across the United States and ultimately become a brand people desire.
