This year, the boys soccer team has made school history. They did extremely well in league and overall a great season. Michael Gonzalez, (senior) is a goalie for the varsity soccer team. Gonzalez talks about his experience playing soccer throughout high school and his life.

“Overall, I am extremely proud to be able to play alongside such talented players and being able to make history having the most wins in San Leandro boys soccer history.”

Most of the players have been playing together for awhile and Gonzalez shares how their bond sets them apart from other teams in their league.

“Our team was really successful this year because most of us have been playing soccer together since middle school and formed a really great bond with each other.”

All of the players have worked hard this season and all of it has paid off and he explains just that.

“We made the most out of this year by always working hard at practices and giving our best at every game. This season will definitely be a season to remember for all of us as we move into in the future. I will truly miss playing with all of my friends and creating good memories with them.”

Aaron Solis, (senior) is a center defender for the varsity soccer team. Solis talks about his experience being on the team and how this team left an impact on this school for the better.

“I have enjoyed playing with these guys for most of my life and I’m so happy that all of my closest friends got to spend this successful season with each other.”

He explains how they’ve all grown together and they are set apart from other teams because of their amazing chemistry. C
