Good Morning Pirates! Today is Wednesday, February 7th, 2024 and these are your daily announcements from the Leadership team
On today’s menu, there will be: Popcorn Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Spicy Chicken Tenders with Potato Wedges, Bahn-Mi Sandwiches, Teriyaki Chicken with Rice, Buffalo Chicken Pizza.
Remember, breakfast, lunch and supper is served daily and free for all students.
Open house is tomorrow night, with vendors selling tacos and hot dogs as well as information booths starting at 4:30. At 5:30, there will be a welcome in the AEC with raffle prizes. Seniors be sure to attend the mandatory senior information meeting in the AEC following the welcome. Seniors will receive important information regarding graduation and prom at this meeting. Check your email messages for information coming out today.
Pirates, would you like to be in a summer program or internship this summer? There are lots of programs in the fields of healthcare, science, and computer programming or you can take college classes. Pick up a Summer Programs list in the Counseling Office and apply soon!
SOUP! BA and Food Services are teaming up to start selling soup and sandwiches. Today Tomato Soup and 1/2 a sandwich will be served at the student store window at Lunch. You will need to enter your ID number like always or for speedier service have your ID out.
February is the month of love, and the Business Academy is helping spread it by selling Valentine Grams under the pirate during lunch. It’s $3 for a small gift, and $8 for a deluxe gift. sale stops on Monday February 12th
SENIORS, Josten’s will be on campus during lunchtime today to distribute graduation announcements that were ordered. They will also be accepting new cap & gown orders. If you previously ordered announcements or you still need to order your cap & gown, please visit the mat room during lunch.
Hey juniors! There will be a representative from Students Rising Above to discuss their scholarship program at lunch in the CCC TODAY. This scholarship opportunity is only open to current juniors and selected students will receive financial assistance and mentoring throughout college. See you there!
Show someone else how to SAVE A LIFE! Ms. Stanley is looking for 3 amazing students who have taken CPR in Health class that want to assist in sharing with parents at Open House this Thursday! See me!! Start set-up at 5:00pm…stay for the evening showing and demonstrating to parents the benefits of knowing how to SAVE A LIFE!!

Today is Girls Soccer’s and Boys Basketball’s Senior Night.
Girls Soccer will be playing Tennyson High at Burrell Field. JV plays at 4:30 and Varsity plays 6:30PM.
Boys Basketball will be playing Piedmont High in the SLHS Gym. Frosh plays at 4:00PM, JV 5:30PM, Varsity plays at 7:00PM.
Girls Basketball will be playing Piedmont High at Piedmont High School. JV plays at 5:00 and Varsity plays at 6:30PM.
