Good Morning Pirates! Today is Tuesday, March 12th, 2024 and these are your daily announcements from the Leadership team.
On today’s menu, there will be: Nachos, Spicy Chicken Tenders with Potato Wedges, Bahn-Mi Sandwiches, Teriyaki Chicken with Rice, Buffalo Chicken Pizza and Thai Curry Potato soup with half a sandwich.
Remember, breakfast, lunch and supper is served daily and free for all students.
Seniors, the San Leandro Teachers are offering a scholarship! You can pick up a copy of the application in the Counseling Office and start your application before March 31st. Seniors who are chosen for the SLTA scholarship will be recognized at a scholarship tea.
Join the San Leandro High Wind Ensemble and Jazz Bands at our Mid Year Concert Thursday March 28th from 6:30-8:30. The event will be at the AEC and tickets are $5. This concert is in collaboration with the East Bay Symphonic Band and proceeds will help pay for our upcoming trip to Six Flags.
Interested in taking AP World History next year? Come to a quick informational meeting during lunch on Thursday in Ms. Pigott’s room 208
Congrats to Men’s Golfer, Miguel Solomon for taking 3rd place in the Grizzly golf tournament, where he shot an even par. Congrats to the men’s doubles varsity badminton teams who are undefeated in league play. Danny Mai and Kevin Zui, Noah Atienza and Alvin Xie, Hoilong Tam and Dylan Thai.
The State Seal of Biliteracy is a gold seal on the diploma that recognizes graduates who demonstrate a high level of proficiency in languages in addition to English.
Students who are fluent in Vietnamese and want to earn their Seal of Biliteracy please come see Ms. Albright in room 112 to learn more. You must sign up by March 29th.

Softball will be playing Mission San Jose at Burrell Field. JV plays at 4:00 and Varsity plays at 6:15.
Varsity Boys Tennis will be playing Mt. Eden in the Burrell Courts at 3:30.
Varsity Baseball will be playing Berkeley High at 4:00 on the SLHS Field.
Boys Volleyball will be playing Piedmont High in the FTK Gym at 5:30.
