Good Morning Pirates! Today is Thursday, March 14th, 2024 and these are your daily announcements from the Leadership team.
On today’s menu, there will be: Pasta with Meat Sauce and Garlic Toast, Spicy Chicken Tenders with Potato Wedges, Sushi, Teriyaki Chicken with Rice, Sausage Pizza and Chicken Noodle soup with half a sandwich
Remember, breakfast, lunch and supper is served daily and free for all students.
The theme for prom this year is Enchanted Garden. Thank you to the seniors and juniors who voted for the theme. The prom is Saturday May 11th at the Galleria in San Francisco from 8-12. Tickets will go on sale March 25th starting at $135
Interested in the Marine Corps or the Navy? There will be recruiters tabling TODAY during lunch at the Quad!
Interested in taking AP World History next year? Come to a quick informational meeting during lunch TODAY in Ms. Pigott’s room 208.
Seniors, the San Leandro Teachers are offering a scholarship! You can pick up a copy of the application in the Counseling Office and start your application before March 31st. Seniors who are chosen for the SLTA scholarship will be recognized at a scholarship tea.
We are two weeks away from the April 2nd, priority deadline for financial aid. Please stop by the CCC if you need any application support with FAFSA or CADAA!
Join the San Leandro High Wind Ensemble and Jazz Bands at our Mid Year Concert Thursday March 28th from 6:30-8:30. The event will be at the AEC and tickets are $5. This concert is in collaboration with the East Bay Symphonic Band and proceeds will help pay for our upcoming trip to Six Flags.
Are you currently looking for a job or internship this summer? Need support with finding and applying for opportunities? Join Mr. Romero in a professional and career development workshop to prepare you all to become a competitive candidate for any position! The workshop will be held in the CCC during lunch on Monday, March 18th. See you all there!
The State Seal of Biliteracy is a gold seal on the diploma that recognizes graduates who demonstrate a high level of proficiency in languages in addition to English.

Students who are fluent in Vietnamese and want to earn their Seal of Biliteracy please come see Ms. Albright in room 112 to learn more. You must sign up by March 29th.
Interested in the Air Force? A recruiter will be tabling next Wednesday, March 20th during lunch at the Quad.
Seniors and juniors please check your school email as Madison Elementary School is looking for Outdoor Science Camp counselors for their 5th graders. The camp is being held in Felton, near Santa Cruz from May 21st to May 24th.You must have a 3.0 GPA. If you have any questions please stop by room 215 before school or during lunch.

Boys Volleyball plays at Arroyo High. JV plays at 4:30 and Varsity plays at 5:30 in the FTK Gym.

Boys Tennis plays Encinal High at the Burrell Courts at 3:30.

Baseball plays James Logan High at 4:00. JV plays in the SLHS Field and Varsity plays at James Logan.

Badminton plays at Arroyo High at 4:00.

JV Softball plays against Encinal at Burrell Field at 4:00PM
