Good Morning Pirates! Today is Thursday, March 27th, 2024 and these are your daily announcements from the Leadership team.
On today’s menu, there will be: Pasta with Meat Sauce and Garlic Toast, Spicy Chicken Tenders with Potato Wedges, Sushi, Teriyaki Chicken with Rice, Sausage Pizza and Chicken Noodle soup with half a sandwich
Remember, breakfast, lunch and supper is served daily and free for all students.
Got spinach? This week for the first time ever, meals prepared in our school cafeteria include lettuce and spinach grown right here in our own school garden. The garden is created and managed by Eco Club with students assisting from UNICEF, Key, and Interact Clubs.
This year’s prom theme is Enchanted Garden! Our prom is Saturday, May 11th at the Galleria in San Francisco from 8-12AM. Tickets are now on sale starting at $135 for SLHS students and $140 for guests. Hurry! Ticket prices will increase soon!
Attention Seniors and Juniors interested in fundraising to pay for your prom ticket: Stop by room 215, Ms. Boissevain’s room and get the information packet and forms for your fundraiser. This year you will be selling Popcornopolis and Sensational Sweets. You can fundraise for prom, and yearbook. Sophomores and Freshmen, you can sell as well to pay for your yearbook.
Seniors, are you interested in becoming a police officer or going into the field of criminal justice? The San Leandro Police Officers are offering scholarships for you! Please see Mrs. Olson in the Counseling Office today or tomorrow for more information!
The State Seal of Biliteracy is a gold seal on the diploma that recognizes graduates who demonstrate a high level of proficiency in languages in addition to English.

Students who are fluent in Vietnamese and want to earn their Seal of Biliteracy please come see Ms. Albright in room 112 to learn more. You must sign up TODAY.
We are excited to announce the Earth Day Fashion Show & Markers Market on the QUAD during lunch on Monday, April 22. Interested in participating in the fashion show? The participants need to wear thrifted, borrowed or upcycled clothing which can be provided for free from TAGS. See Ms. Lo in room 104 if you are interested in participating!
Seniors, did you attend Bancroft Middle School, John Muir Middle School, or Roosevelt Elementary? Sign up in the Counseling Office by April 12th to be considered for a scholarship!
Have you turned in your green San Leandro Scholarship application to the Counseling Office yet? This one application makes you eligible for over 100 local scholarships! The deadline is TOMORROW!
And now for your daily sports announcements…

Varsity Boys Tennis will be competing against Bishop O’Dowd at Merritt College at 3:30.

Track will be competing in the Track WACC Meet at Burrell Field today at 4:00.

Softball will be playing against San Lorenzo High at the Burrell Field. JV plays at 5:00 and Varsity plays at 7:00.

Baseball will be playing against Acalanes High at 4:00. Varsity plays at the SLHS Field and JV plays away at Acalanes.
