San Leandro Wrestlers Take on WACC Team Championships

This upcoming weekend is the WACC Team Championships, held at Berkeley High School.Wrestling will begin around 9:00am as brackets are created the day of. It is an important event to the wrestling community as it determines if the wrestlers at San Leandro will qualify for the next tournament, NCS Divisional Championships. There will be talented wrestlers from all over our league competing, but the San Leandro Wrestling team has been hard at work attending tournaments every Saturday to prepare for this challenge.

“Our team has been training consistently all season to be the best we can be. No matter how we do in terms of wins or losses, each one of us knows that we have worked as hard as we can,” said Romi Green, senior captain.

This is a great opportunity for all wrestlers across our community and an exciting way to support our San Leandro athletes.
