The Girls State Wrestling Tournament is rapidly approaching. This tournament is a collection of talented wrestlers competing from all over the state of California. It is an extremely difficult tournament to qualify for as wrestlers had to place in the top three at the North Coast Divisional Tournament held the weekend prior. The San Leandro girls wrestling captain, senior Romi Green, has qualified for state and placed 3rd at NCS. They will be continuing their season at Mechanics Bank Arena in Bakersfield this week starting Thursday, Feb. 26th according to the wrestling coach, Juana Juarez. This is a very exciting opportunity for Green to showcase their talent and hard work on the mat.
