From June 9-12, 2026, Project Glimmer will host Empowerment Academy for female identifying students in 10th-12th grade. The four-day in-person program will be focused on goal-setting, presentation skills, self reflection and financial literacy, according to Parent Square.
According to Project Glimmer, at the end of the program students will walk away with a clearer vision of their future and stronger communication skills. Participants can receive up to a $250 stipend at the end of the program that is contingent with the participation of the student, according to Parent Square.
All sessions will be held from 9a.m – 1:30p.m. On June 9 the session will take place at the Project Glimmer Warehouse in San Leandro while June 10-12 sessions will take place in Downtown Oakland.
