From June 15- 26, 2026, the FACES Summer Medical Academy will offer hands-on experiences in medical and clinical skills.  Workshops, field trips and certifications in CPR and Stop the Bleed are a part of this program offered to students grade 10-12 interested in exploring careers in healthcare, according to Parent Square.

The program will take place at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, Monday to Friday from 9a.m. – 3:30p.m. The cost of the program is $3,000 with lunches included daily. According to Parent Square, students and families are encouraged to look into potential financial aid or scholarship options through the program directly and review all details carefully.
