The San Leandro High 2026-2027 Course Catalog includes hundreds of classes, and year after year more are added. One of the newest classes available next year will be the American Poet’s experience, offered to juniors and seniors. This class, taught by Mr. Lucero, will be centered around having students “celebrate, study, and continue the tradition of American poetry beginning with Romanticism,” according to the catalog.

Students will also be able to study different types of American poetry and connect them to the events of the time and then they will have the opportunity to write about what they see in America today.
